Today was a Terrific Tuesday!

Today, Jack had soccer at his preschool so that allowed Riley and I some special time together as Jack wasn't through till 2. We headed straight over to Color Me Mine to pick up the turtle she painted last week. It turned out so beautiful! Needless to say, she can't wait to go back and do it AGAIN! :o)
Yesterday, Riley read the last book needed to complete her reading chart. Doing so meant she earned herself a brand new book and a for an added bonus, a big ol' cookie and some milk to go with it.
After about an hour of searching for the perfect book, she spotted Harold and the Purple Crayon. The search was over!
I really enjoyed that time with you Riley! I am so proud of you and all that you are doing. Way to go!
If Jack is given a shadow, you can bet he is going to try to out-run it (almost every time, I kid you not). It is just one of the cutest things to watch.

Riley, you've got perseverance. Don't ever lose it. It's a great character trait and will get you far. You keep trying on those monkey bars and one day you'll swing across with ease. You've already made it across. Don't get down on yourself if you can't do it every time. I love that you kept falling, but kept trying. I love you, Roo!

I said, "Mom is a lucky mom because God gave us to her!" (No, she wasn't saying that, but that is what I was thinking. However, I quickly was distracted by them putting their mouths on that germ infested thing.)
