I love you guys!

Goofballs!

What a great moment!

Great, great grandaughter of Petie (from the Little Rascals) . . . go figure.

Fond memories as we walk around and check out our yearly summer vacation spot from my childhood. My how things have changed . . . each year you never know if that favorite restaurant will still be there or what things will look like. Regardless, there's always more memories and fun to be had in San Diego.

We love Pacific Beach!

Getting a closer look at the ocean below the pier . . .
don't think you can get any closer than that Jack.

Checkin' out the view from the end of Crystal Pier

Love the face, yes, but I really love the toes!
Peek-a-boo! I see you Ty Guy!

Makes you wanna go out and get a peach, huh?

My handsome brother and his beautiful wife in front of God's gorgeous painting.

This is what Nana's heaven looks like.

Riley running out to greet Uncle Reid as he's comin' in from surfin'.

Uncle Reid, you're so much fun!

Poor Jack. He's not having any fun at all.

Tried to re-create this with the ocean in the background. What a crack up that was. Goes to show exactly how lucky I was to actually have them all jump at the SAME time the FIRST time.

Ahhh . . . brothery/sisterly love. Quick! Take a picture! They're not fighting!

Me and my Jack Rabbit
This is what Jack looks like when you tell him not to throw sand at the camera.

Jack of all trades

What a serve!

Jack and Allison . . . Smashball Champions

Dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe at South Coast Plaza on the way home
. . . not a bad way to avoid the traffic.
Cheapest and still the most favorite souvenir! Gotta love it!

Last Minute Dip

Today was just one of those days . . . nothing went as planned, very busy, nothing much accomplished, lots to still get done. It was almost bath time when a knock on the door saved the day. It was our neighbor Tessa, inviting us over for a late evening swim. Bath or swim? How 'bout swimming and therefore we're bathed? Done deal and the crazy day ended with a bang.

Riley had an absolute blast.

Ahhhh . . . my little heart attack.
I'll have to remember to bring the video camera next time, because even though a picture is worth a thousand words, those thousand words aren't enough to describe the gammut of emotions I go through while supervising my son swim. He doesn't yet know how to swim independently, but put those wings on and he thinks he's Michael Phelps (famous olympic swimmer). He's asking to jump backwards, he's doing belly flops, he'll try and copy whatever he sees an adult/older child do. He figured out how to stop himself while going down the slide so that at the end he can stand up and jump off, etc., etc. ETC.!!!

Mom, can I please try it without my floaties?

Jack figured out how to do a summersault underwater with floaties on and all.

Lucky dog.

Is that a face or what? Sweet baby Josh. I just love his smiles.

subtle reminder :o)

Just another day in Creekside.

Big Doctor Day
Today was well-check day for Riley and Jack. Riley's big 5 year old appointment and Jack's well check for 3.

43 inches & 42 pounds
Funny how being a mom makes you look at these statistics in terms of rides. For example,
a 43" heigth means Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, Bucanneer, Swashbuckler and so forth.

37 inches & 34 pounds

(. . . or Pounce n Bounce, Percy's Railroad, etc.)

Dr. Aurora checking to see if Riley can write her name, draw a square and a triangle.

Can you hear it now? Can you hear it now? Can you hear it now?

testing vision

We are very blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy children.

Just like our Doctor Kit!

Rubios: We go for the fish. We stay for the food.

(I HAD to get out. Mexican food always a hit.)

Riley's 5th BirthDAY

This is what a 5 year old looks like!

This is what a 5 year old looks like who's getting her 1st piece of gum!

This is how excited and proud a 5 year old looks knowing that she is now allowed to have gum.

What's for breakfast on your birthday at the Spector house? A birthday panCAKE of course!
(served on our red plate that's reserved for special occsasions just like this :o)
Jack wanted to eat as close to the birthday girl as possible.

Hey look! It's that crazy straw again from the Mooseburger Lodge!

Good job sharing with Jack, Riley!

Family trip with the Springs to Magic Mountain

I can't help it. I just love these photos. How precious is that!?!

Lucas, Jack, Birthday Girl and our new friends, Sylvester and Tweety.

That's it. I'm eating him for dinner. I know he's mine, but come on! Soooo cute!

Again, can't stand it. Too cute. Wish I could engrave these moments in my mind to keep forever and ever and ever. Hope the blog helps me do just that because my little babies are growing up way too fast!

What a privilege! Riley and Jack got to ride with Lucas on his very first "coaster!"

Hey look! It's Rooster and Rooster! :o)

Being 5 + 43" tall = a lot more rides! Here she is with Dad riding the Swashbuckler for the first time. This means she can probably ride the "big orange" at California Adventure. A whole new world has just opened up to us!

Quite the ride, but oh what fun! You are so fun to be with Riley! I had a blast.

I really can't tell who's having more fun. Gavin or the kids? I'm just glad I'm not on that with them because it was spinning so fast, just watching it almost made me throw up.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haw!

Tell Jack to smile and you get this face or a squinty one. Either way, he's too cute. Here he is with his handsome dad. It was so much fun to spend the evening together. Can't wait to do it again.

To infinity and beyond! (Oh wait, that's Disneyland.)

Here's Gavin . . . having a ball! :o)

Don't mess with Jack when he's in this ball area. It's serious business. No time to talk. Gotta pick up the balls and put 'em in the "suckie thingie." Gotta go. Move out of my way. There's balls to be picked up and fun to be had.

Birthday Funnel Cake (a first!)
"Whatever this stuff is on top, it's gooooood."
. . . . and a funnel cake lover is born.

Sign of a fabulous day.

Happy Birthday Riley!

I sure do love you. So glad you picked me to be your mom.
