End of Soccer Season Celebration
Way to go Purple Pizzazz!

There it is . . . the first of many trophies! :o) I hope this season with soccer begins a lifetime love of playing sports, both individual and team. What great coaches to begin what I hope will be a lifetime love. There's just so much to be gained from it all. We love you Coach Mike and Coach Andy. We'd love to be on your team again.

Look up the word "fun" in the dictionary
and you'll find a picture of my little man.

One of his favorite passtimes . . . chasing the garbage truck around the neighborhood. Typically we start at our house and follow it all the way around to the pocket park. If he's really lucky, we get to chase the recycling truck, too! (Chasing his shadow as well of course . . . either that or he's checking out how cool he looks while running.)

Happy Birthday Nana!

Here are the pictures we took a couple weeks ago for Nana's yearly present. :o) They came out pretty good I think.
When Gav can't be with us, my brother always puts the kids in the car for me. My brother told me tonight that as he put Jack in the car, Jack asked if he could take Tyler home with him because at his house we don't have a baby. I thought that was so sweet. Jack can hardly wait till Tyler is old enough to run around and play with him.
Introducing . . .

Annabelle and Speed Racer
(a.ka. Annabelle Flower Angel and Racecar Speed Racer Boy)
Gavin and the kids are going to try their run with fish. Here you can see Gav teaching the kids how to feed their new friends and setting up the calendar for when to feed them again and when to clean their tank.

Until we can figure out a better place, Annabelle and Speed Racer will be our new "live" centerpiece. We figure it's more fun if the kids can see them and watch them whenever they want so upon our table they will be till we come up with something better.
Night Out on the Town
My mom and I attended the wrap party for Bolt at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. The after party was in the Grand Ballroom upstairs. I had no idea the Kodak Theater was also a shopping destination. I also, being the dork that I am, didn't realize until we were sitting in our seats, that this is where the Oscars and other award shows take place. Pretty cool. Smaller inside then it looks like on TV and when I went to the bathroom, no seat fillers came. :o) I know what you're thinking, "Kelly! Who did your hair?! I've never seen it up before! What an amazing updo! You must wear your hair like that more often!"
The movie was really good and I fell in love with Bolt in the opening scene. I guess you could say he had me at "arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr . . ." Very moving to be admist and watch the movie along side the very people who created it. Always fun to watch for my mom's name when they roll the credits. She's on quite a few now after being with Disney for so many years. I think it will be fun to point out to Riley and Jack some day. Not every grandparent has their name in movies that are common to almost every household in America. It was kinda neat to know that we were among the first group in our country to see Bolt on the big screen and super cool to be sitting in the very seats where celebritities have sat. I found myself wondering while I was using the um, er . . . toilet, who sat there before me? Hee hee. Can't really recall a celebrity that would have me awestruck if I saw them in person, well, Edward Cullen maybe, but he's not real. Regardless, my mom and I had a lot of fun seeing the movie here, going to the wrap party and getting time together just us (when was the last time we did that? Our trip to Sanibel when I was pregnant with Roo?).

Here's my mom with the guy who is the voice of Rhino, a major character in the film. This guy's story is really neat. He was just a regular Disney employee with an extra large personality and great voice. I'm missing lots of details, but in a nutshell he was asked to do the voice for Rhino and was so excited. The role was practically made for him and he was a show stealer! Laughed out loud several times with Rhino. Below is my mom and Rhino as he is in the movie.

We had to cut out of the party after just a short time as I needed to get back home. Gavin's mom hung out with the kids while I was gone and Gav was sleeping and had to get to work. Before we left, my mom played a round of Black Jack (paper money . . . winnings were turned into free raffle tickets or something). Are you practing for your 60th birthday celebration in Vegas coming up in a couple of weeks? You look great mom and you deserve the world a million times over. Happy Birthday tomorrow! Looking forward to our weekend away with just my brother and you (I already miss my family!). We're going to have a great time. Thanks Gav for making it work out and making it happen.

Saturday Morning

Well, with Jack starting our day at 5:30, heading out for dougnuts and coffee at 7 sounds late. :o)

On the way home the kids got distracted by pine cones so we spent about 10 minutes hunting, gathering, throwing before we headed back home. Kids . . . they can find excitement anywhere!

Riley's last soccer game was today. Games that start at 1 (like today) can be really hard on Roo as she is so ready for a nap about this time, especially if she doesn't get a good night of sleep the night before. Here she is at half time . . . she barely made it home from the game without falling asleep on the short ride home.

Nice throw-in Roo! :o) Gonna miss seeing you in your soccer uniform. So cute! I've really enjoyed watching you play. You can be quite the tiger out there on the field. I love it!

Friday Fun
I like to move it move it, she likes to move it move it, he likes to move it move it . . .
We like to MOVE IT!
Madagascar II came out today and we surprised Riley with grabbing her a few minutes early from school to go see it together as a family.
Friday Pizza Night
Tonight we even roasted marshmallows!

. . . and we even made smores! Thanks for bring the marshmallows Allison and thanks Jessica for the graham crakers and chocolate! :o)

This one is for you Heather! :o)

Jack and Dad

Jack is very much in love with his daddy, especially right now. The three of us spent an hour or so at the park this morning enjoying the beautiful day.

Box Made it into the Toy Hall of Fame

Would any parent be surprised by that fact? The kids have been having fun with these boxes all week. Their imaginations have soared and these boxes have been many things.

Just thought this moment was too cute, too sweet.

Tuesday

Clifford greeted Jack on his way into school today (book fair is going on). Today was also patriotic day at his school.

There's a TV in these glasses! Riley, Gav and I had some time to spend together while we waited for Jack's pick up time. We went to lunch and then played around at Brookstone.

Jack in the Box

Monday

It worked! You look MA-velous Riley Roo!
We headed over to Jennifer's house this morning for some more Creekside Kids fun (that is after I was out and got a call from another neighbor reminding me of the morning plans . . . thank you Janelle).

I have so been looking forward to getting rid of this. I was just waiting for Jack to be ready and he was! I made it as ceremonious as throwing out a potty seat can be (but in actuality Jack didn't think it was really that big a deal . . . it was to me though. I'm sick of looking at this thing and moving it around).

Opened our front door after naps and found this fun surprise from Jennifer. Thanks for making us the bracelets Jennifer! The kids love them.
