Unexpected Surprises

On our way in to play at the mall, we took a construction detour to watch the men at work. 3 is such a great age! So much fun! I love seeing life through their eyes. Everything, even construction workers fillig a hole, is so exciting! Lucas and Jack were even invited to climb the big yellow machine, but both repeatedly declined. They really enjoyed watching it though!

I love how Lucas is standing!

"Hi-YAH!"

Connor surprised Jack and Lucas at the mall! It was great to have the boys together. They had a lot of fun.

I believe Connor is discussing basketball and the fact that they can play it some day. Something about being a basketball player and . . . ? Whatever the conversation was, it was serious and sounded very exciting.

I can't stand it. I love this view! How cute are they?

Since Riley and Madison attend kindergarten at opposite times, Cathy and I found a way to have them meet up at pick up/drop off time today. They both dearly miss each other (last year they were in the same preschool class), so seeing each other for only a few minutes was a very good thing. Not sure what they talked about, but as all girls can . . . they packed a lot of conversation into 5 minutes.

Riley yelled from upstairs that she wanted to play a game with us and then a few minutes later came down with just a few items that were necessary to play that game. :o)

We went swimming this evening for a few hours and I purposely left the camera at home so I could be "in the moment" with the kids and Gav in the pool. Riley did her first back flip under water and then even taught a little girl at the pool how to do them, too.

As we were leaving Riley looked over at the husband and wife laying down in the lounge chairs and commented, "Mom, isn't that silly? Those people came to the pool and all they're doing is just relaxing. They've just been laying there the whole time we were swimming." Honestly, some people! Relaxing pool-side. Just about one of the most rediculous things I have ever heard!
