Last Minute Overnight Trip to Disneyland
Why is Riley holding her shoe?

Because she tied it! First time! All by herself!
"Look Riley! I can see the whole world!"
(checking out the view from our room)

Happy Jack! I knew all it would take was once and he'd be going down the slide numerous times (lost track after 25). Took about a half hour of convincing him and showing him that the depth at the bottom wasn't much.

Watching Riley have so much fun really helped, too!

Met up with my cousin (my mom's nephew), Bobby, for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe where Jack became really attached and greatly missed him when he was gone. Bobby is a longtime firefighter who just began working at Disneyland about a month ago. We got to meet up with him after he put his uniform on and say goodbye before he went off to work the Fantasmic show.

It was fun to have him sign Riley's autograph book.

Great seeing you Bobby. Hope to see you more often!

The Licker vs. The Biter

I think he liked it.

Splashing around in the hotel jacuzzi while waiting for the fireworks show.

They pipe in the same music so it feels as if you're right there. Can't see the castle, but you really can't see it anyways even when you are in Disneyland (unless you waste half your day claiming a spot). We enjoyed the show almost even more.
Me and Jack Rabbit . . . watchin' fireworks (and lookin' a little bit tired from the day - both of us!)

For the first time, we took advantage of the early entrance into Disneyland for hotel guests. Wow. I can't even begin to recount how many rides we went on in an hour and a half. I also can't believe we've never taken advantage of this before. We headed for Space Mountain first (my all time favorite) and Riley rode that ride for the very first time! (Also were able to snap this shot without any other people in it!)
Buzz Lightyear with Nana

Thunder Mountain

First time (believe it or not) on the Storybook Land ride. Jack and Riley got to be the "whale watchers" and sat up front. We've only seen this ride from the Casey Jr. Train. Very amazing attention to detail and very cute.
Here's where Aladdin lives.

Thank you very much! (I love Toy Story Mania! Okay, so I wasn't going for accuracy. I was going for overall total points. :o)
Nana surprised Jack with some cotton candy after naps (Jack LOVES cotton candy.) He thought it would be great if he saved some for Riley for when she woke up. After praising him for being so thoughtful and being willed with warm fuzzies at his his generosity, I asked him to place Riley's share in the bag. Below is what he saved for her.
After re-thinking, he decided to save her more.
Rare, but true . . . sometimes it pays to be petite. Here's Trendsetter Nana sportin' her new sandals taking a break in the stroller. Her flip flops were rubbing her raw. What a trooper she was! We walked a lot!

The new Pixar parade is a blast. Gets you wet and has so many of our favorite characters in it.

We love this parade and were very happy to catch the last weekend of it.
