Donating Our "Savings"

This morning we brought our "Box Tops" into Riley's school which can turn them in for cash for the school.

Then we turned in all the pull tabs we've saved over the past couple of years. If I understand it correctly, the weight/metal type are worth more than when recycling a typical whole can. The school will use the money gained from turning these in to help the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald Houses provide low-cost and supportive "home away from homes" for families of critically ill children coming into their communities for medical treatment. It's a fantastic organization and saving pull tabs is so easy. If you don't already save them, I hope this has inspired you to do so. Want more inspiration? Visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVkl0EikEdg to see a short video on the Pasadena house or do a search for other R. McDonald houses on you tube and you will soon be pulling off your pull tabs and your friend's pull tabs. :o)

Came home from picking up Jack from school to find quite the wide grin on Gav and Riley's sweet faces. They had just completed construction a super tall tower for Jack to knock down. Then of course, it was quickly rebuilt before nap time so Riley could try it, too. Sometimes, the anticipation is worth more than the actual action. So here goes . . .

Can you stand it?

1, 2 . . .

Nap time!
