Museum Day

First Up: Boone's Children's Gallery at the LACMA

Jack couldn't get enough of these two areas!

Next: Lunch! Here we are on our way to have lunch in front of the La Brea Tar Pits

Riley is holding up Skippy from Pioneer Club. It was her turn to take him home for the week and show him around town. Here, her and her friends are under a beautiful Coral Tree in front of the La Brea Tar Pits (and below is our trip inside.)

So fun to watch the palentologists (sp?) at work!

The green lines mark the various sizes of bears. The one closest to Riley's heigth is a black bear, next up is a Grizzley Bear, Polar Bear and then the 6 foot tall Short Faced Bear from long ago. Wow!

Our church should get one of these!

Coy, turtles and tadpoles . . . oh my!

The drive home was brutal as the kids and I were stuck in the car for 2 hours without air conditioning. Once on the freeway it wasn't so bad, but the stop n go hour long traffic just to get on the freeway was tough. We were dripping with sweat and I believe Riley got a heat rash. When Riley woke up from her nap (before we even got on the freeway), she had a fantastic idea! She suggested we hit the pool when we get home. We couldn't get there fast enough. Perfect ending. Thanks Roo!

. . . and thank you so much Gav for fixing my air conditioning. Whew! I appreciated it before, but now . . . I'm really grateful. Thanks babe (and thanks for saving us some serious money)! Oh, and thanks kids for supervising!
